Information on distance selling
Ordering alcohol from another EU country is quick and easy thanks to user-friendly online shops. Although online shops do not offer delivery services themselves, there are many transport companies on the market from which every shopper can choose to ensure that the goods they order reach their doorstep quickly and cheaply.
Ordering alcoholic beverages remotely is a perfectly legal way of ordering from anywhere in the EU, and often cheaper than buying from local shops.
Buying from our online shop is always a distance purchase. Torille OÜ does not transport alcoholic beverages and does not arrange delivery of goods. All transport is arranged and paid by the buyer.
All alcoholic beverages purchased from our online shop are subject to Estonian taxes (including Estonian excise duty and VAT) and the ownership of the goods passes to the buyer in Estonia.
Important to know:
Ordering alcohol from another EU country for your own use is allowed, as long as the goods are for personal use and not for resale.
Our company only deals with distance buying – the customer orders the products from us and arranges their transport to Estonia.
All our prices include Estonian excise duty and VAT.
Please note that if the customer orders goods from Estonia to another country (e.g. Finland), he/she may be liable to pay taxes (e.g. excise duty or VAT) according to the laws of the destination country. We advise customers to check their country’s tax rules and obligations in advance.
If the customer has the products transported to Estonia by himself or by a transport company, there are no additional taxes on the Estonian side, as Estonian taxes are already included in the price of the product.
How do I order products from an online shop in another EU country (from a distance)?
1) Place an order online at the online shop
2) Check the weight of the ordered goods in the shopping cart.
3) Select the transport company delivering the goods.
